Daily demand is designed to provide greater transparency into energy usage patterns in order to more accurately reflect the cost of delivering energy and ensure those costs are shared more evenly among customers.

This change won't increase the total amount NV Energy collects. Daily demand will help customers better understand their daily energy usage patterns.

Desert tortoises get the right of way. 🐢

To help protect sensitive wildlife along Greenlink West, we work closely with environmental specialists throughout construction. Every morning, they survey planned work areas to help us avoid impacts to desert tortoises and their habitat.

It’s one of the many considerations we take into account to balance Nevada's energy future with environmental responsibility.

Potential weather impacts from Tropical Storm Rachel are forecast to affect parts of southern Nevada from early Sunday morning through Monday.

Clark County and surrounding area can expect:
- Periods of rain Sunday through Monday
- Potential for localized flooding and flash flooding in some areas
- Possible isolated power outages due to weather conditions

NV Energy is closely monitoring conditions and has increased personnel available throughout the weekend to respond safely and efficiently to any power-related emergencies. Our crews are prepared and on standby should outages occur.

Safety Tips:
- Don't walk or drive through flood water.
- Avoid standing water, as it may be electrically charged from underground or downed power lines.
- Never approach a downed power line. Call 911 immediately.
- Report outages at nvenergy.com.
- More preparedness and safety information is available at nvenergy.com/outageprep.

Safety remains our top priority. Stay informed, stay prepared, and stay safe!
