NYNM is pleased to announce the appointment of the incoming MEBS Commander, Major Frank P. Cinturati Jr. He will be doing turnover with CAPT McKnight during this boating season.

Major Cinturati has previously served for the Naval Militia as Joint Task Force Empire Shield Special Projects Officer/Intelligence Officer in Charge.

Master Chief Jonah ROMANITCH of Joint Task Force Empire Shield Naval Dets is presented with the MEBS CRAFTMASTER device by Captain McKnight, recognizing his extensive subject matter expertise in "all things, small boat." BMCM Romanitch is the 20th MEBS member to earn this prestigious recognition following a qualification board while underway on Long Island Sound.

The re-power of PB 280 is virtually complete. The Mercury OptiMax 250's were replaced with Mercury 4-stroke V-8's. This is the fourth re-power job completed by the MEBS Maintenance team at Leeds. On the horizon, the re-powering of PB 300 and 301 replacing Mercury Verado 250's with Mercury SeaPro 300's.
