The State Family Programs Office (SFPO) facilitates trainings for contractors and volunteers to ensure the level of knowledge is consistent and conducive to administer appropriate levels of services to military families of New York State. The SPFO is tasked with budgetary, policy and procedure as well as administrative duties to appropriately oversee all aspects of the New York National Guard Fami

We will take the time to go over emotion regulation through some activities and even watch the movie Inside Out to see how Riley manages her emotions.

With the start of the New Year I want to share that the NY ARNG Child & Youth Program have an in-person event for Saturday January 25th!

This event will go over MRT Skill Goal Setting. The event is geared towards 12–18-year-olds. Together, we will learn about what goal setting is, the steps towards goal setting, creating vision boards for our goals and enjoy a book reading by the New York City Children’s Theater.

This event will be taking place on the Drill Shed Floor of Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY. This will be from 9am to 2pm.

We ask that those participating bring their own lunch. Spots are limited and will be based on first to sign up. As more spots open we will email down the list of attendees.

The NY ARNG Child & Youth Program is hosting a new virtual event for the month of January! We are collaborating with the Saratoga Children’s Museum to provide military dependents with a one-of-a-kind virtual animal tales program!

Have you ever wondered what the animals of a storybook would be like if you could meet them? Together we will read their stories and learn about their real lives in this exciting animal story time!

Join Child & Youth on January 22nd from 6PM-7PM as we explore storybook animals’ real lives in a exciting animal story time with the Saratoga Children’s Museum!

When: January 22nd, 2025 from 6PM-7PM
Where: Virtually on Zoom!
Who: This event is for military dependents between the ages of 6-18!
