Many thanks to our club Rotarians Kirk H Pogge and Sue Mahar for cooking dinner at Ronald McDonald House Albany last night!

Each month our club members rotate a schedule and make dinner at the House. Families staying at the House have spent all day at the hospital with their child, doctors, and medical staff. After a long day they get to have a home cooked meal and avoid the fast junk food.

It's just a set of concrete steps. Nothing too extraordinary looking. Maybe a little wide.

Put these steps on the front of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region and they do a lot of work. They welcome the wearisome and worrisome with love. They are there every night to welcome families "home" after they spent all day at the hospital with their ill child. They hold up those families and welcome them to a respite, offering hope and healing.

After years of bearing their burden the steps begin to break down themselves. Our club Rotarian Mark Landau decided it was time to give some love to the steps. A little masonry work and fresh paint and the steps are full of love again!
