Everybody loves Libby. Everybody hates change.
Just like most other logins these days, Libby will soon ask for a second piece of information to make sure it’s really you trying to use your account. NO ACTION IS NEEDED AT THIS TIME!
WHAT IS CHANGING: At the moment, Libby only asks for your library account number (your library card’s barcode or your digital eCard number). You’ve only needed your PIN when accessing your library account, but soon you’ll also need it for your Libby account.
WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE MEANTIME: You can get yourself ready by familiarizing yourself with your existing library PIN. If you can't recall your password, or if you’d like to choose a different PIN, any library staff member can reset it for you. Call, email, or stop by for a visit! We'd love to see you!
WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT: We’ll remind you about the upcoming change a few times to make sure everyone hears the news. Closer to the date when the change takes effect, we’ll alert you once again so your experience will be interrupted as little as possible.
Even if you’ve been logged into Libby for years, you’ll have to log back in one time after the change in order to enter your PIN.
