National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) is celebrated annually on January 9th to honor and thank law enforcement officers for their service and sacrifices. The day was established in 2015 to recognize the men and women who protect and serve communities. It's an opportunity to show support for law enforcement and to counter negative attention they may receive.
