The Town of Lattimore regrets to announce the cancellation of the annual Fourth of July Parade. The town council voted to cancel the celebration in light of the the Governor’s Executive Order which currently prohibits parades. Please plan on being a part of our 2021 celebration.
The Town of Lattimore is saddened to hear of the passing of area resident Jack Hunt. Dr. Hunt was a respected state legislator and citizen.

Died October 3, 1918 in Liverpool, England.
Thankful for his sacrifice.

Don’t forget to watch on Monday at 11 am to celebrate Memorial Day and remember Lattimore native Edward R. Price who died in 1918 in World War 1.
Celebrate Memorial Day by joining us on FB Live at 11 am on Monday, May 25th to learn about Pvt. Edward Price who died in England during the World War 1 conflict. A monument has been erected in his memory at the Price Community Center. Mayor Alton Beal will be telling Edward’s story and giving some historical tidbits about the town.
Take a few moments to remember the fallen soldiers and express gratitude for their sacrifice.

The power outage continues in the Lattimore area. More than 300 residences without power. No updated time of repair has been provided by Duke Power. If you know of any elderly in the area affected by this and need of help, please message the town on FB.
Duke Power projects that the power will be restored for the Lattimore area by 3:30 am.
