Happy 100th birthday to Maria E. Robles, a resident of Archbishop Hurley Hall in Hallandale, part of Catholic Housing Management!

Maria has called Archbishop Hurley Hall home since its doors first opened in 1989. Today, we are blessed to honor both her 100th birthday and 37 years as our neighbor.

Her enduring place in our community reflects the value of quality, affordable senior housing that supports stability, dignity and a sense of belonging as residents age.

Maria, you are part of Archbishop Hurley Hall’s history and heart. May God bless you with joy on this extraordinary birthday.

Dengue Alert! Locally acquired dengue cases have prompted public health notices in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Dengue spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito, making prevention especially important when spending time outdoors.

Catholic Health Services encourages our staff, families and neighbors to take these precautions:

• Use an EPA-registered insect repellent and reapply as directed on the label.
• Wear loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
• Empty standing water from flower containers, cemetery vases, buckets and other items.
• Cover or turn over containers and store tools and equipment so they cannot collect rainwater.
• Check outdoor areas regularly. Report standing water or significant mosquito activity to the team responsible for the property.

Make mosquito prevention part of your daily routine—at work, at home and throughout our community.

Faith and compassionate care brought our community together at Mercy Hospital in Coconut Grove for the feast day Mass honoring its patroness, Our Lady of Mercy.

Our Catholic Health Services and Catholic Hospice teams were honored to join healthcare professionals, community leaders, Catholic schools and lay apostolates for this beautiful expression of our shared faith.

We are blessed to be part of this vibrant Catholic community and to extend the compassionate care patients receive at Mercy Hospital through our continuum of care in physical rehabilitation, home health, assisted living, skilled nursing, palliative care and hospice services.

Sipping our way to better health! The residents of St. Joseph Towers had a blast at our recent Smoothie Day & Wellness Session. We learned all the best tricks for making nutrient-dense smoothies and loved sharing these fresh, delicious blends together.

Through Catholic Housing Management, Catholic Health Services extends its compassionate care to seniors across South Florida. In partnership with HUD, we provide approximately 2,600 affordable senior apartments across 19 communities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Access to these units follows standard HUD regulations, including income limits and waiting list procedures.

Seniors living in our communities enjoy a busy social calendar with carefully planned activities coordinated by our dedicated social work team. We do everything possible to ensure enrichment, health, social engagement, and safety for every resident!
