Catholic Cemeteries recently came together to celebrate a remarkable fiscal year and recognize the team members whose dedication helps advance our mission every day. Special recognition was given to our Family Counselors, whose compassion and guidance help families navigate one of life's most important decisions with confidence and peace of mind.

While many families begin planning well in advance, others come to us during times of loss. In those moments, the care, empathy, and professionalism of our counselors provide invaluable support as families make important burial and memorialization decisions.

As part of the Catholic Health Services continuum of care, Catholic Cemeteries serves families through the two official cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Miami: Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Miami-Dade County and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Broward County. Through this ministry, we are honored to help families plan ahead, make informed decisions during times of loss, and create lasting tributes that reflect the lives and faith of their loved ones.

If your family has not yet explored burial planning options, we invite you to schedule a FREE planning consultation by calling 800-988-9971.

Recovery is possible. Hope is powerful. Compassion changes lives.

After suffering a stroke, one patient arrived at St. Anthony’s Rehabilitation Hospital with severe speech and mobility challenges. Just two weeks later, he regained independence with daily activities, advanced to a regular diet, and was able to reconnect with loved ones through conversation again.

This remarkable progress is a testament to the power of faith, determination, and the compassionate interdisciplinary team at St. Anthony’s Rehabilitation Hospital who walk alongside patients and families every step of the recovery journey.

Thank you to our dedicated physicians, therapists, nurses, case managers, hospital liaison, unit secretary, and every team member whose commitment helps restore hope and healing each day.

“Truly a 5-star team.”

Our Team was excited to participate in the Smiley’s Voice Foundation’s 12th Annual Stroke Awareness & Prevention Health Fair and Family Fun Day held at the Tamarac Recreation Center.

Founded by Catholic Home Health Executive Director Carol Hylton, Smiley’s Voice Foundation was created in loving memory of her son, Michael Hylton, and is dedicated to advancing stroke awareness, prevention education, and community support.

This impactful event brought together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and families to promote wellness and provide life-saving education on stroke prevention and recovery.

Representatives from St. Anthony’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Catholic Home Health, and Catholic Hospice were honored to connect with attendees, share resources, and highlight the compassionate care and support available through Catholic Health Services.

Thank you to Smiley’s Voice Foundation and everyone who participated in this powerful day of education and community togetherness.

This Memorial Day, Catholic Health Services honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As we gather with family and loved ones, we pause in gratitude for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we cherish. May we never forget their courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." -John 15:13.

We pray for all fallen heroes, military families, and those who continue to serve our country with honor.
