A look back at some frightfully fantastic pumpkins!

From spooky faces to creative carvings, entries from past years have brought plenty of Halloween spirit to Compass Inn Museum! But we have to ask… can this year’s carvers outdo the competition?

The 11th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest returns Saturday, October 24! Families and individuals are invited to carve their ghouliest gourds, show off their creativity, and compete for prizes. Best of all, there’s no entry fee! Entries should be carved off-site and dropped off at the Compass Inn Museum on Friday, October 23 from 12-2PM or on Saturday, October 24 from 10 AM to 12 PM.

🏆 With $75, $50, and $25 prizes in each age category, there’s plenty of reason to get carving!

Remember, Remember… to mark your calendars for Compass Inn Museum’s Bonfire Celebration: An Old English Tradition on Saturday, November 7!

Step back in time and experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of a traditional Guy Fawkes Night celebration!

Join us from 3:30–5:00 PM for an afternoon of family fun, including tours of our historic 19th-century stagecoach inn, bonfire-themed crafts, and activities for all ages. Then, as evening falls, gather around the bonfire from 5:30- 9 PM for historic tales, live music, traditional Old English bonfire fare, and seasonal drinks!

Warm up by the fire, explore the inn by candlelight, and discover the fascinating history behind the centuries-old tradition of remembering, remembering the 5th of November.

Make this fall one to remember! Tickets are available now, and you won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind evening of history, tradition, and autumn magic.

Compass Inn Museum will be closed Saturday, October 10, 2026 due to our staff and volunteer participation in the Fort Ligonier Days Parade. We hope to see you there!
