Laurel Fork Volunteer Fire Department was proud to serve the community last night along side Virginia Department of Forestry, Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department, Galax Volunteer Fire Department, Carroll County Fire/Rescue, Pipers Gap Rescue, and Carroll County Sheriff's office, there was a tremendous amount of hard work put into containment of the Wildland Fire on Cavalier Drive.

We received these awesome pictures from the students at Gladesboro Elementary School today while we were there for our Fire Prevention Presentation, it is always a GREAT DAY when we get to visit the students and teachers for a few minutes and not have an emergency to mitigate.

Surface Water Rescue class was a HUGH SUCCESS this weekend. Lots of dedicated Firefighters coming together to ensure we are READY, ABLE, & WILLING to do our very best for you and our folks who are in need of a helping hand. Laurel Fork Volunteer Fire Department was invited by Galax Volunteer Fire Department to attend. We were joined by Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department and Barren Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

Special Operations Team 4 from Bristol Fire Department and Associates did an AMAZING JOB getting the information out to our community ONCE AGAIN ! Via VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS TECHNOLOGY.

WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE BROTHERS WILLING TO COME spend the weekend with us to help enable us to serve YOU BETTER, while sacrificing that time away from their families.

Laurel Fork Volunteer Fire Department, consisting of a team of young men and women, built by TRUE HEROS starting back in 1966 that included Blaine Barnard. Who was still running 911 Calls at the age of 89 to serve his community and protect his extended family pictured here, this amazing group of dedicated and honorable individuals who serve still today trying to build on the skills Blaine helped them learn.
