🏭📊 HR Workforce Lunch Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us for today's HR Workforce Lunch as we explored the latest trends shaping Jones County's workforce.

Phil Hosey shared findings from the most recent Jones County manufacturing workforce study, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges facing local employers. Among the key takeaways, Jones County is home to more than 8,100 manufacturing jobs, representing 29% of all local employment, while employers continue to identify soft skills, retention, and workforce readiness as top priorities.

🎓 Collyn Leggett also provided an update on the impact of the Jones County Career Coach Program. Through individual student meetings, classroom presentations, job shadows, field trips, and industry partnerships, our Career Coaches are helping students connect education with meaningful career pathways right here at home.

🤝 These conversations remind us that building a strong workforce is a team effort. By strengthening partnerships between employers, educators, and community leaders, we can continue preparing the next generation for success while meeting the evolving needs of Jones County businesses.

🎀 Meet Killebrew Psychological Services!

Did you know Ellisville is home to the first expansion location for Killebrew Psychological Services?

Founded in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Killebrew Psychological Services brings a team-based approach to mental and behavioral health care, serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Their Ellisville office is helping expand access to quality care throughout the Pine Belt, supported by a network of approximately 20 therapists across the organization.

The Jones County Chamber of Commerce was proud to partner with the Area Development Partnership (ADP) Chamber of Commerce to welcome Killebrew Psychological Services to our community.

🎀✂️ Welcome to Ellisville, Killebrew Psychological Services! ✂️🎀

The Jones County Chamber of Commerce was honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Killebrew Psychological Services' new Knightwood location in Ellisville.

We were especially proud to partner with the Area Development Partnership (ADP) Chamber of Commerce in Hattiesburg for this joint ribbon cutting celebration, highlighting the regional impact Killebrew Psychological Services is making across the Pine Belt.

Killebrew Psychological Services provides evidence-based psychological and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout the region. Their commitment to compassionate care and positive outcomes is making a meaningful difference in our communities.

Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we take time to reflect on those who gave everything for our country.

This Memorial Day, join the Veterans Memorial Museum as we pause to honor and remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

“We Remember” will be held Monday, May 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Laurel. This meaningful community ceremony is free and open to the public.

Let us come together to reflect, remember, and honor the sacrifices that protect our freedoms. 🇺🇸
