Did you know certain medications can impact how well you tolerate higher temperatures? As we head into summer, make sure to stay hydrated with water, wear a hat and sunscreen while outside and limit your time in direct sunlight if you take these medications.

Each year we have the opportunity to say THANK YOU to our crew members who show up each and every day to be here for the community.

This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” is an opportunity to focus on the many ways EMS professionals work together and across disciplines—with 911, healthcare, public health, fire service, law enforcement, and others—in the best interests of patients.

We’re very fortunate to have the support we do not only from our community, but also that of our law enforcement and firefighters. It truly is a team effort to bring the very best care to you, and we’re grateful for the team we have.

Thank you to our Paramedics and EMTs who show up to serve each and every day. You truly are one of a kind and we appreciate all of your hard work serving our community.

Laurel EMS is honored to announce we have been named the Montana Car Seat Fitting Station of the Year! This award recognizes the work done to build Laurel EMS into a trusted Child Passenger Safety Inspection Station in partnership with Safe Kids Yellowstone County. Through education, outreach, and hands-on support for families, this program has helped keep countless children in our community safer on the road.

From quarterly car seat events in Laurel to community education and helping families access safe and adaptive travel options for their children, the goal has always been simple: keeping kids safe. This program has become much more than car seat checks — it has become a trusted community resource for families wanting to keep their children safe.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this mission and trusted Laurel EMS to help protect the children in our community. We’d especially like to thank Paramedic Mandi Crable who puts in countless hours and so much energy into making all of this happen. We could not do this without you!

We are grateful for Laurel Fire Rescue and their support. These men and women step up everyday to answer the call, and we are fortunate they do so.

On International Firefighters’ Day, we recognize and honor all firefighters, especially the dedicated members of Laurel Fire Rescue.

Your commitment, courage, and willingness to serve others, often without recognition, are what make this community stronger and safer every day. This work is a calling, and each of you answers it with pride and professionalism.

To every member of Laurel Fire Rescue: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your heart. We are grateful for you today and every day.

Laurel 911, what is the address of your emergency?

Those are the calm words you hear when you call 911 in Laurel. You never see their faces, but you hear their voices as they ask questions while simultaneously sending help. Dispatchers are here 24/7 to answer that call and send you help 🚓🚑🚒. We can’t do our jobs without them and you wouldn’t get help if it wasn’t for them.

This week we recognize the work they do each and everyday for the community. We are so grateful for our dispatchers and appreciate all they do!

Tomorrow, April 11th, is our monthly car seat check event at AMR (1701 Montana Ave) from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Tuesday, April 21st, is our quarterly car seat check event at Laurel EMS (215 W 1st St) from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Please schedule an appointment so that are able to keep you from waiting too long for a certified child passenger safety technician to help you.
