Today, we pause to remember the men and women who served our country and never made it home.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom has always come at a cost paid by brave Americans willing to stand in harm’s way for their fellow citizens.

We honor those who laid down their lives for this nation, and we remember the families who carry that sacrifice every single day.
Their courage built the freedoms we often take for granted. Their sacrifice deserves acknowledgment and remembrance.

As you gather with family and friends, let us never forget those who gave everything so we could enjoy the liberties we have today.

From all of us at the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families. May we honor them not only with words, but by living lives worthy of their sacrifice.
