We were excited to welcome the NC State Goodnight Scholars to Carver Middle School for an engaging day of STEM outreach!

During their spring break, these college students chose to travel across North Carolina—not for vacation, but to invest in the future by sharing their insight and passion for STEM with younger students. Carver was selected as one of the schools to host this incredible opportunity, and our students truly benefited from the experience.

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students worked collaboratively in teams, using creativity and problem-solving skills to tackle STEM challenges. It was inspiring to see their imagination at work as they designed, tested, and refined their solutions together.

STEM is more than just science, technology, engineering, and math—it’s a process that encourages collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. That’s exactly what our students experienced firsthand during this visit.

Thank you to the NC State Goodnight Scholars for pouring into our students and helping them see the endless possibilities that STEM can offer. Experiences like this continue to spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors for future success! 🔬💻
