Reminder about the upcoming changes as we work to consolidate our reception area!

PUBLIC NOTICE
Health and Human Services Reception Changes
Effective September 1, 2026

Scotland County Health and Human Services is pleased to announce reception service changes designed to make it easier for individuals and families to access the services and support they need.

Beginning September 1, 2026, reception services for both the Health Department and Social Services will consolidate into one coordinated process.

What This Means for You

When you arrive at Scotland County Health and Human Services:

+Check in at the main reception area located at the front entrance facing 1405 West Boulevard. NOTE: The prior Health Department entrance will not be accessible to the public beginning September 1, 2026.
+Our reception team will greet you and help identify the service or program you need.
+You will be directed to the appropriate staff member or program
If you need assistance accessing multiple services, our staff will work together to connect you with the appropriate resources.

While visiting, please take time to learn more about all programs and services available through Scotland County Health and Human Services. Educational information will be available in the lobby.
This change is part of our continued commitment to providing accessible, coordinated, and community-focused services to the individuals and families we serve.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement this change. Our goal is to make your experience with our department as welcoming and seamless as possible.

Health and Human Services will be closed to the public on June 5, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The agency will open for normal operations from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Come on out to our Second Chance Day here at 1520 S. Main Street in Laurinburg.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Today is a great day to come out and meet local resources in the community for different topics such as mental health, substance abuse, employment, and housing. There are many vendors set up to help!

We will be here until 2:00 pm today! We can’t wait to see you!
