🏀 SCOTLAND COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION KICKS OFF ANNUAL SUMMER SPORTS CAMP WITH A BANG! 🏀
Scotland County Parks & Recreation officially kicked off its Annual Summer Sports Camp this week with an exciting start led by certified basketball instructor and experienced college and professional coach, Chris Hayden.
Camp participants not only learned the fundamentals of basketball but also received valuable lessons about respect, discipline, teamwork, and how those principles apply both on and off the court. Coach Hayden emphasized the importance of character, sportsmanship, and dedication as key components to success in athletics and in life.
Today's session focused on developing fundamental basketball skills, ensuring each athlete builds a strong foundation. Throughout the week, campers will continue to progress through more advanced drills, game concepts, and skill development activities designed to improve their overall understanding of the game.
We are excited to provide our youth with the opportunity to learn from one of the best and look forward to a week filled with growth, learning, and fun.
The future of Scotland County athletics is bright, and this is just the beginning! 💙💛
