Today I was happy to have Mr Holland with me to accept the Honorable Mention award for Act 56 GT program of the year for schools with enrollment 1000 and below. Thank you to all who support our program and my crazy ideas. My focus is always on making our students stronger and helping them maximize their potential!

There will be a Gifted and Talented Parent Meeting on Monday February 12th at 5:45 in Mrs. Grady’s room in the Middle School. This meeting is to touch base with parents on our current program and ideas for the future. Many of you will be on campus for Parent Teacher Conferences and I hope you will be able to stop in for the meeting.
If you are unable to attend I will send home a summary of the meeting with the students at a later date.

7/8 GT students are participating in the Adopt A Professor Program through UAFS. Today Dr Otero and Dr Manriquez walked the students through dissecting a sheep brain and how different parts of the brain control learning and reactions. Excited to bring such opportunities to our students.

Congratulations to Bryson Dye, Ethan Smithson and Amaya Mendez for having their poetry printed in this anthology. We welcomed the teams from Writers In the Schools into our classrooms two years ago and it was a great experience. They will be returning this year!
