A fundraiser created by a family friend to help cover Tracey's criminal and immigration-related legal expenses was later removed from GoFundMe.
In response to an inquiry from Jersey Shore Online, a GoFundMe spokesperson said the platform's terms of service prohibit fundraisers benefiting the legal defense of individuals charged with violent crimes.
Under that longstanding policy, such fundraisers are removed and all donations are refunded.
The Jersey Coast Emergency News page had claimed credit for prompting the fundraiser's removal. However, GoFundMe's statement indicates the campaign was taken down under the platform's existing policy, rather than in response to that page's efforts.
A request for comment from Tracey's attorney
Francis R. Hodgson went unanswered at press time.
The charges are accusations. Tracey is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

We can only imagine this is the newest standard response. On June 20th, this message was sent by “Tiny CL” to a group member. Jen has not been served with a protection order. Apparently, she has been spared. They probably saw he stalked and harassed her! She responded, has only told the truth. She doesn't hold herself out to be a media personality. As far as what’s contained in this BS letter, white-collar crimes take months to years to investigate. It won’t happen immediately. The Financial Crimes Division will need to investigate his bank accounts, his Venmo, his taxes, etc. It’s a lengthy process. Just because they didn’t run up on him in a week doesn’t mean he’s not guilty.

page Jersey Coast Emergency News posted that a victim was unconscious and that there was a possible fatality. Police said no one died, and there were no reports of anyone being unconscious.

A person who identified himself as one of the first people to reach the overturned vehicle told Jersey Shore Online that both women were conscious, able to speak and appeared to have only minor cuts.

In a statement to Jersey Shore Online, police chief Kline said “we are aware of comments circulating on social media regarding this incident. We encourage the public to refrain from relying on unverified information or speculation, as it can spread misinformation and interfere with an active investigation. We remain committed to providing accurate and timely information as facts are confirmed.”

The Jersey Coast Emergency News page has previously faced criticism over disputed reports involving a Wildwood police horse, Brick Little League, a Central Regional High School teacher, a reported submarine sighting and an alleged supermarket explosion. The allegations involving the teacher have not been established as fact and the page is mentioned in a lawsuit.

The incident underscores the importance of waiting for confirmation from police, emergency responders or other verified sources before sharing claims about serious injuries or deaths.
