In partnership with Station 21, Station 17 firefighters completed joint training operations with our new fire engines in Atwood on Tuesday night. The joint operations training allows operators and leaders to develop the necessary skills to effectively operate and maintain our new equipment while responding in the event of an emergency.
The training focused on the combined efforts in water handling to include drafting, water storage capabilities and sharing water resources. Sharing the knowledge between the departments ensures that we can operate under a unified command structure that allows for smoother operation on scene. This is a critical part of providing Mutual aid responses by building trust as a cohesive unit during emergency responses. We want to recognize all the members that attended the training and their willingness to volunteer their time to protect our County.
