Terry Volunteer Fire Department Station 17

Terry Volunteer Fire Department Station 17 The Terry Fire Department protects and serves residents in the community.

04/09/2026

In partnership with Station 21, Station 17 firefighters completed joint training operations with our new fire engines in Atwood on Tuesday night. The joint operations training allows operators and leaders to develop the necessary skills to effectively operate and maintain our new equipment while responding in the event of an emergency.
The training focused on the combined efforts in water handling to include drafting, water storage capabilities and sharing water resources. Sharing the knowledge between the departments ensures that we can operate under a unified command structure that allows for smoother operation on scene. This is a critical part of providing Mutual aid responses by building trust as a cohesive unit during emergency responses. We want to recognize all the members that attended the training and their willingness to volunteer their time to protect our County.

Please if you are able we need candy donations
Or anything for the kids. If you would like to set up please do, the more the better. If you would like to set up a game for the kids to play that would be awesome. I can come pick up your candy and bag it into individual packages to hand out. I know times are hard and candy is expensive but if we all get some the kids will have a great time. If you want to order it from Amazon, Walmart or anywhere you can have it delivered to me, Wanda Tidwell at 1445 Little Grove Road, Lavinia Tennessee, 38348. We all appreciate anything you can do to help these kids to have a safe place to be Halloween

Bring those beautiful kids and grandkids
