Feld Fire Inc. recently delivered our newest Spartan Emergency Response fire truck that will be serving out of our station 111 on 31st st!

Our new baby came out at 33 feet 4 inches and 48,000 lbs!

All joking aside, we are working on mounting equipment and training with the new truck. Once that is completed, we will announce a date and time for a push-in ceremony to be held at 300 W 31st st.

We would like to thank Feld Fire for providing a superior product and great service, the county commission for approving the purchase, and our citizens who never fail to support us in our mission.

Douglas County remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 1:00 am. Strong storms over central Kansas continue to move East South-east and may pass through Douglas County later tonight. Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph have been recorded with these storms. Stay alert to weather information updates.

A cluster of severe thunderstorms will continue to track east-southeast into tonight. Storms have a history of producing destructive wind gusts in excess of 80-90 mph. Damaging wind gusts of 70-90 mph and a few tornadoes will remain possible. Stay aware of the weather and be ready to take shelter if a warning is issued for your location.
