Today on International Women's Day, and for Women's History Month, we celebrate Chief Chrissie Vincent and her incredible contributions to emergency services in Lawrence Township.
Chief Vincent was hired as a career EMT in 1990 and recently celebrated her 35th anniversary of service to Lawrence Township. Throughout her career in emergency services, Chief Vincent has received certifications in firefighting, heavy rescue, trench rescue, confined space emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, mass casualty incidents, disaster mitigation and emergency management.
Chrissie advanced her clinical training by receiving her New Jersey EMT-Paramedic certification from West Jersey Health System in 1995. In addition to riding on the ambulance in Lawrence as an EMT by day, she spent more than 20 years working as a Paramedic, serving Mercer County and it's surrounding residents at night. Chrissie was instrumental in transitioning Lawrence Township Emergency Medical Services from a professional department with day-time coverage to a fully-staffed professional EMS Division, providing ambulance services around the clock.
In 2010, Chrissie became the first EMS Chief for Lawrence Township. As Chief, Chrissie has led with passion, and a commitment to excellence, making a lasting impact on emergency services in our community. We are incredibly grateful for her tireless efforts in creating an amazing work environment for her employees and keeping our community safe.
Thank you, Chief Vincent, for your outstanding service, leadership, and dedication. Lawrence Township is a better place because of you.
