Wear ORANGE tomorrow ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️
Wednesday the 21st is the National Unity Day! Here in the United States Unity Day is a signature event during Bullying Prevention Month that is recognized by wearing orange to send a visual message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Unity helps build a strong school community by reminding us that we are all connected and that our words and actions matter. Because the Montessori philosophy is rooted in Cosmic Education and Peace Education, the spirit of Unity Day is already woven into the meaningful work you all do every day, along with our celebration of International Day of Peace! Unity Day is another wonderful opportunity to highlight the importance of global citizenship, social responsibility, and building a peaceful, connected community. We can bring these values to life through the everyday experiences that make Montessori so special, like caring for our environment, celebrating the diversity within our classrooms, and helping students explore the world beyond themselves through conversations, books, art, music, and other creative projects.
