Douglas County Conservation District Clean Water, Healthy Lands, Bright Future. The Douglas County Conservation District offers many services for the citizens of Douglas County, Kansas.

The Douglas County Conservation District's mission is to provide leadership and assistance in promoting individual responsibility for the conservation of Douglas County natural resources. Our Goals are:

1. Provide financial assistance to landowners through the allocation and distribution of state water resource and non-point source funds.

2. Provide technical and planning assistance to landowner

s of Douglas County for the implementation and construction of conservation practices.

3. Provide conservation education to residents of all ages living in Douglas County.

4. Assist the NRCS with office workload (per NRCS MOU the district must allocate 50% of one employee’s time to NRCS assistance).
