🏡 A WHOLE HOUSE FILLED WITH LOVE AND HOPE 🏡

Today, we are honored to recognize Michelle Fermin, the Whole House Sponsor of our “Fill a House with Love and Hope” celebration.

Michelle made this extraordinarily generous contribution in loving memory of two people who remain forever in her heart, her brother, Danny, and her mother, Yadira. 💜

Through Michelle’s generosity, their memories will become part of the hope, healing, and new beginnings experienced within the beautiful new Women’s View home. Their legacy will live on in every woman who walks through its doors and is reminded that she is safe, she is seen, and she belongs.

Michelle, thank you for believing in our mission and for choosing such a meaningful way to honor Danny and Yadira. Your kindness will touch the lives of women in recovery for years to come.

Please join us in thanking Michelle and honoring the loving memories of Danny and Yadira. 💜

From the Valley to the Mountain Top, TOGETHER.

💙 COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION 💙

Valley of Hope Shelter and Recovery extends our sincere gratitude to the Methuen Police Department for its support and coordination as we prepare for our “Fill a House with Love and Hope” ribbon-cutting celebration on September 10.

Members of the department will provide detail coverage during the event, helping to ensure the safety of our guests and the smooth flow of traffic around our new Women’s View home.

Strong communities are built when organizations, public officials, first responders, businesses, and residents work together. We are grateful to the Methuen Police Department for helping us welcome our community safely on this very special day.

💜 A Special Day of Connection & Collaboration 💜

Today was a special day as members of the Valley of Hope Shelter and Recovery team came together with the incredible team at Bread & Roses to connect, collaborate, and talk about how we can continue working together to support individuals experiencing homelessness and other challenges in our community.

When organizations come together, share ideas, strengthen relationships, and focus on the people we serve, our entire community becomes stronger. 🤝

We are incredibly grateful for the work Bread & Roses does every day and for the opportunity to build upon our partnership. It truly takes a community of compassionate people and organizations working together to create meaningful change.

Thank you, Hellen and Ashleigh from Bread & Roses, for welcoming our team and for all you do for our neighbors. We look forward to continuing this important work together! 💜

💜 Women Supporting Women. Recovery Supporting Recovery. 💜

Today, something beautiful happened between the women of our Pegasus House and Women’s View recovery programs.

The women of Pegasus House visited Women’s View, each bringing a handwritten letter reflecting on one powerful question:

✨ Where do I hope to see myself five years from now in my recovery?

They shared their letters with the women at Women’s View, along with a small gift for each resident—a simple but meaningful way to share hope, encouragement, and connection with another woman walking her own recovery journey.

And we’re inviting the women of Women’s View to write something just as powerful in return: a letter of encouragement to their younger selves, which can then be shared with the women at Pegasus House. 💌

There is something incredibly special about women at different places in their journeys being able to learn from, encourage, and inspire one another.

Recovery is about so much more than where you’ve been. It’s about discovering where you’re going—and knowing there are people beside you who believe you can get there. 💜

At Valley of Hope, we want every woman we serve to know:

You are safe here.
You are seen here.
You are not walking this journey alone.

💜 On Overdose Awareness Day, we pause to remember every life lost to overdose, support the families and loved ones carrying unimaginable grief, and stand beside those still fighting.

Every life is valuable. Every story matters. Recovery is possible, and no one should have to walk that journey alone.

Together, we can end stigma, encourage compassion, and continue building communities where people feel safe, seen, supported, and filled with hope.

We remember. We care. We choose hope. 💜

❤️✨ STILL SMILING ABOUT PROM NIGHT AT DAYBREAK SHELTER… ✨❤️

The decorations may be coming down, but the smiles, laughter and memories from our Daybreak Prom are going to stay with us for a very long time. 💃🕺

For many of our guests, this was an experience they had never had before, a chance to attend prom, get dressed up, have their hair done, enjoy a special dinner, dance, laugh, take pictures and simply have a night where they were celebrated. ❤️

And what a night it was!

👗👔 Thanks to Magic Barn and Uncommon Threads, our guests had beautiful new attire to choose from.

💈💄 The men received fresh haircuts, and the women were treated to hair styling and makeup.

🍽️ Quality Catering in Methuen provided an incredible meal that made the evening even more special.

🎶 And once the music started… we DANCED! There was laughter, there were smiles, and there were moments we know we will never forget.

But perhaps the most beautiful part of the evening was watching our Daybreak staff.

They decorated. They prepared. They helped our guests get ready. They served. They danced. They celebrated alongside them. And they worked incredibly hard to make sure every person felt special.

❤️ That is Daybreak.

A place where the people we serve aren’t defined by the circumstances that brought them through our doors. They are people deserving of dignity, joy, connection, opportunity and HOPE.

A special thank you again to Case Manager Mary Arias, whose incredible dedication made not only this prom possible, but an entire summer of weekly events for our guests. And thank you to Daybreak Director Wilson Torres for rolling up his sleeves and helping transform and brighten the shelter in preparation for this special night.

To every staff member, donor, partner and community member who helped us create this experience — thank you for believing that moments like these matter.

Because they do. ❤️

Sometimes hope is finding a safe place to sleep.
Sometimes hope is knowing someone believes in you.
Sometimes hope is getting another chance.

And sometimes… hope looks like putting on your best outfit and dancing the night away at your very first prom. 💃🕺✨

We couldn’t be more proud of our Daybreak family. ❤️
