The Kentucky Humane Society's CARE-a-van is bringing FREE cat spay/neuter surgeries to Anderson County residents on Tuesday, April 28th at the Anderson County Park – Lion Pavillion.

Appointments are required and can be made at https://www.kyhumane.org/services/khs-care-a-van/ . Look for the Lion Pavilion - Anderson County Park Location. Spaces are limited and if that location does not show up in your search, then all slots are full.

There is a $25 deposit per cat that will be refunded when you attend your appointment. You can sign up for multiple cats, but you must make an appointment and pay the deposit for each cat.

🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Anderson County 🚧

KY 749 (Beaver Lake Road) will be closed between mile points 0.0 and 1.2 on April 23–24 and April 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for cross drain replacement. The roadway will reopen after 2 p.m. each day.

Motorists should seek alternate routes and use caution in the area.

‼️Attention Anderson County residents and travelers:

If weather conditions allow and winds decrease today, a prescribed burn will take place in the Dugansville Road area. The burn is expected to cover at least 50 acres, with the possibility of expanding depending on conditions.

Please be advised that the fire department is not conducting this burn, but we have been in contact with the agency overseeing the operation.

If you notice a significant amount of smoke in this area, there is no cause for alarm—this is a planned and controlled burn.
