Several years ago, a nature trail and outdoor classroom was established in memory of principal Wayne Reese. It was an exciting place for students to take a break and enjoy exploring and learning in nature. It was funded by Anderson County’s YKK. As years have passed various ice storms and weather events as well as growth in the woods caused the trail to become unsafe for student use. However, this school year our new School Resource Officer, Brian Boggs, took notice of this and decided that it was time to clean up the trail and allow it to be used for learning and enjoyment once again. Over fall break Deputy Boggs teamed up with Alan Beghtol and Jimmy McGuffin to make this happen. All three men donated their time and hard work and RBT PTO was able to support their efforts for supplies needed and gasoline for chainsaws and other machinery needed. We are so thankful for their work and willingness to volunteer. Yesterday all Titans had the opportunity to explore the nature trail during specials with Deputy Boggs as our official tour guide! The kids loved the trail and are so excited to use it! As Mr. Reese would say, “it’s the little things that make big things happen!” Deputy Boggs thank you for your vision and working to make this big project happen for our Titans. We appreciate you, Mr. Beghtol, and Mr. McGuffin!
