In 1973, under the direction of Bobby Peach, Anderson County EMS was established as a paid department, funded by a subscription service that was offered to every Anderson County household. One BLS Ambulance was staffed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

. As Anderson County continued to grow, so did ACDPS by adding a second crew to its fleet operations. The Ambulance Service soon added Paramedics to its roster to provide ALS care, the highest level of pre-hospital training available to date. Present day ACDPS has continued to grow with the community by further adding a third full time ALS Ambulance 24/7, with the capability of adding a 4th, 5th, or 6th ALS Ambulance that can be road ready at a moments notice. Over recent years, ACDPS has taken a proactive approach towards meeting the needs of the community by adding several additional specialty programs to further provide quality service. This includes the Division of Emergency Management, the ACDPS AM Radio Station 1620, the affiliation with KLAER, the home of the Kentucky Department of Public Health Region 14 (ESF 8) Medical Surge Unit to include a Mobile Hospital tent, and a WMD 6 Level-B HazMat Operations Trailer. ACDPS is an "All Hazards" Agency dedicated to providing "Quality patient care, administered by caring professionals, in a timely manner." ACDPS is owned and operated by the Anderson County Fiscal Court and is funded out of the Anderson County General Fund.

Versailles Police Department is assisting Lexington Metro on Versailles Rd. Our units will be diverting Versailles Rd inbound to Lexington traffic to Shannon Run Rd or Pisgah Pike for an undetermined amount of time.

Congratulations to Bryce Flach! He took his paramedic final today and passed with a 94%! He will be taking his NREMTP test soon. Wish him luck. He and IV spent a lot of time studying and she helped ease his nerves he said while she was with him. Good luck Bryce!!

We have a new family member. She has a long brown nose, floppy ears, beautiful copper eyes and gives the best 4 legged hugs and kisses.

She has recieved her official employee badge, treats, a bed and crate.

She has attended her first command meeting and a meeting with Chief Beeler of LFD.

Can firefighters, EMS, and police find your house?

When you call 911, every second counts. If your house number is missing, hard to see, or blocked by trees and bushes, responders can lose valuable time just trying to find the right address. That delay matters when it's a fire, a medical emergency, or someone in danger.

Here's an easy way to help us help you faster:

-Post your house number on your mailbox and on your house
-Use numbers at least 4 inches tall
-Choose a color that contrasts with your house (light numbers on dark siding, dark numbers on light siding)
-Keep the area well lit and trimmed back from trees or bushes
-If your home sits back from the road, consider a reflective address sign near the driveway

This takes a few minutes and a trip to the hardware store, but it can make a real difference when seconds count.

Take a look at your house tonight. Could a first responder find you in the dark, in the rain, or in a hurry? If not, now is a good time to fix that.

Be safe. Be visible. Help us help you.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a report of a missing/runaway juvenile. Deputies are actively working closely with The Spencer County Sheriffs Department following up on leads and working to locate the juvenile to ensure his safety.

Missing Juvenile Information:

• Name: Coty Lee Workman

• Age: 16

• Description: 6’0 tall, 150 lbs, natural brown hair, brown colored eyes. Last seen wearing jeans, white/black T-shirt, white /gray Ariat cap, short top brown Ariat work boots and a silver necklace.

• Last Seen: At 1230 a.m. on 07/25/2026 at his current residence at 1021 Teal Point Drive Lawrenceburg KY. He was last seen running from the residence and getting in a truck leaving the area.

At this time, there is no indication of foul play, and this appears to be an isolated incident between this male juvenile and a friend that picked him up. We are requesting the public to keep an eye out for this male with special attention to Anderson and Spencer County. We will provide updates if additional information is needed.
