Clerk of Court Tiana P. Garner was honored to attend Chairwoman Hendrickson’s 4th Annual Women Veterans Luncheon, a special event recognizing the service, sacrifice, and contributions of women who have served in our nation's armed forces.

Today we also commemorate the anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, signed into law on June 12, 1948. This landmark legislation allowed women to become permanent members of the U.S. military.

The Clerk’s Office is proud to recognize two of our own women veterans, Cheryl and Joyce. We thank them for their dedication, service, and commitment to our country and our community.

Happy Women Veterans Day and thank you to all women veterans for your service.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Gwinnett County Clerk of Superior Court Tiana P. Garner, joined by fellow Clerks of Superior Court Che Alexander of Fulton County and Debra DeBerry of DeKalb County, hosted a roundtable discussion for local Board of Equalization Hearing Officers in preparation for the upcoming appeal season.

Hearing Officers play a critical role in the property tax appeal process, and the discussion provided a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, discuss best practices, and learn from the extensive expertise of those who serve in this important capacity.

Thank you to all of the Hearing Officers who attended and contributed to such a productive and informative conversation. We appreciate your dedication to ensuring a fair and effective appeals process for our community.
