🔑🏡 Today we celebrate a Home Dedication for Nelson as he received the keys to his new house in Lilburn! No stranger to a hammer, Nelson has been putting in sweat equity hours and helping build homes since the beginning of our Habitat community in Lilburn. Nelson’s house is our 174th home build in Gwinnett.

A special shout out to our incredible construction team, who outfitted Nelson's home with a fully ADA-compliant primary bathroom, including a roll-in shower with an integrated seat. Thoughtful design like this is what makes a comfortable, safe, and secure home.

Once a year, we trade our usual roles for a day and step into the shoes of our incredible ReStore team! 💙💚

Our All Staff ReStore Work Day gives our entire Habitat team the chance to experience a day in the life at the ReStore and see firsthand just how much goes into this important arm of our affiliate. From receiving and organizing donations to serving customers, moving merchandise, and keeping everything running behind the scenes-it takes a LOT of teamwork!

And every bit of it has a purpose. 🏠 The work happening at our ReStore helps raise critical funds that fuel our mission of building homes, communities, and hope throughout Gwinnett and Walton counties.

Today was about more than getting work done; it was about fellowship, teamwork, and serving alongside one another. We’re grateful for the ReStore team that does this work every single day and for a staff that’s always willing to jump in wherever needed! 🙌

We have officially closed on the new site of a future Habitat community where ✨11 hardworking families🏡 will build and purchase affordable homes! The Snellville site sits on 2.67 acres of land along Lenora Church Road.

This exciting milestone brings us a step closer to creating new opportunities for strength, stability, and self-reliance with our neighbors. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this possible!

🎓Join us in congratulating our 2026 Lynn Weekley Volunteer College Scholarship recipients, Ellis and Yail!

The Lynn Weekley Scholarship reflects Gwinnett/Walton Habitat’s belief that homeownership creates a strong foundation for children’s long-term success. Established in 2019 by retired employee Lynn Weekley, the scholarship has awarded $27,000 to 17 students from Habitat families.

This year, we celebrate two students whose determination and academic commitment have been supported in part by the stability of a Habitat home.

Our sincere congratulations to our 2026 recipients, Ellis Stewart-Jenkins and Yail Rodriguez, as they continue their educational journeys! Their achievements highlight the powerful connection between stable housing and brighter futures.

Another fiscal year in the books! This amazing repair programs team served 217 homeowners in Gwinnett with plumbing and septic repair needs and executed 25 critical home repair and aging in place projects in Gwinnett/Walton counties.

Shout out to Susan for being an incredible program assistant and to Taylor and Jeremy for being our do it all repair techs!
