At midnight all Lawrence fire companies were dispatched for a reported structure fire in a vacant dwelling on Carter road. Upon dispatch the 1st alarm was called and multiple mutual aid companies were dispatched. Lawrenceville's Rescue 23 arrived first due, forced entry and stretched a handline up the staircase. While a 2 1/2 was set up on the exterior. We had initial water supply issues due to their being no hydrants nearby, so we had to rely on tankers to supply our water. Fire was eventually extinguished after multiple hours. Fantastic job by all agencies involved, and special thanks to all of our mutual aid fire Companies that came in to assist us. #FireIsEveryonesFight #ProtectingTheNorth

It has come to our attention that an individual posing as a member of Lawrenceville Fire Company (Station 23) going by the name “towerladder2323” has been posting offensive and defamatory comments on social media. This individual is in no way associated with our organization. Towerladder2323 is impersonating a firefighter from Station 23 and is not a member, nor an actual firefighter. As an organization, we pride ourselves on having a diverse and inclusive culture and do not tolerate hate speech.

Last Friday some members had a "crash course" on vehicle extrication & stabilization by Chief 23. In this scenario we had a rolled over vehicle that was pinning a hose dummy "victim". We had to use both cribbing & airbags to lift the vehicle while simultaneously stabilizing to safetly remove the dummy.

It is with extreme sadness and a heavy heart that the Lawrenceville Fire Company grieves the loss of Prospect Heights Fire Company Past Chief and Life Member Jeffrey Lenarski. He was the brother of Station 23 Captain Jay Lenarski and uncle to firefighters Kelly and Nicole. Jeff was a staple in the Mercer County fire service and will be greatly missed. Rest easy Chief Lenarski; we have the watch from here Sir.

March 8th is International Women's Day, which is a global event celebrating the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements of women. We would like to recognize our 3 active female firefighters Kelly Lenarski, Nicole Henderson, and Lauren Bonica.

Kelly and sister Nicole joined our company in 2010 and are 4th generation firefighters. Their grandfather (Joseph Lenarski) was past Chief of Prospect Heights Fire Company, their father (Jay) is a Captain at Lawrenceville, Kelly's boyfriend is the Deputy Chief and Nicole's husband is also a Captain, not to mention other cousins and uncles who are also firefighters in the county. If you are familiar with firefighting in Mercer County, New Jersey, then chances are you know a Lenarski in the fire service. Kelly teaches preschool for special needs children at Antheil Elementary school in Ewing and was most recently recognized by American Legion Post 414 for her service and dedication to the community. Nicole works at Kale's Nursery where she puts her design and decor talents to good use.

Lauren Bonica joined Station 23 in 1999 and is the first female firefighter at Lawrenceville to achieve Life Membership by reaching 20 years of active service. Lauren is Jersey Shore native and despite relocating to Florida, is still an active participant in fire company activities. Lauren is a past President and has served on numerous committees.

#InternationalWomensDay is about advocating a future where all women can rise to meet their fullest potential without limitations and also champion the accomplishments of the those who are forging new paths and making our future brighter!

Thank you Firefighters Kelly Lenarski, Nicole Henderson, and Lauren Bonica for all you do! We are proud of you!

Just before Christmas, members from Station 23 had the privilege to visit Past Chief Gordon Buxton for his 90th birthday and deliver a present (his birthday is Christmas Day). Chief Buxton received a framed picture of the entire company depicted in 2015 on the day of our 100th Anniversary celebration, featuring Gordon. Chief Buxton is our oldest serving member (74 years and counting!) and was Chief from 1974-1976. He graciously hosted us at his family Christmas party and the crew did not hesitate to partake in the delicious fare! Congratulations Chief Buxton!

Do you want this for the firehouse?
Hi. My name is Charles Newton. I am trying to locate Debra Curren. She was married to Charles Curren. I am trying to purchase her husband's business and would like to speak to her. If anyone could pass my number to her or get any contact information to help me locate her would be helpful thank you. My number is 732-322-5985.
