We’re back with another highlight of our students in the GSBA Youth Advisory Council class of 2026! 🤩

We are honored to have Annie Lee on our council this year, a junior from Muscogee County Schools. Annie is passionate about the power of storytelling, particularly its benefit of improving mental health, empathy, active listening, and new perspectives for students.

We are excited to see Annie continue to develop her passions and skills during her time in the program! Stay tuned for more highlights throughout the coming weeks.

🎥 Take a look back at last year’s GSBA Safety Workshop!

This year, GSBA is hosting the Leading Safe Schools: Governance in Action Workshop, which will take place on September 28 in Perry, GA. Join fellow governance teams for an essential conversation on what it means to lead on school safety.

This is a unique, timely opportunity to ask questions, explore best practices, and prepare your team for the year ahead. School safety is a top priority for Georgia’s schools. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the conversation.

Today, GSBA staff showed their school spirit by sporting gear from their favorite teams! As football and fall sports are kicking off, our team gathered for lunch, a little friendly competition, and plenty of team pride.

We’re grateful for our staff whose spirit extends beyond the teams they cheer for to our shared commitment to supporting public education across Georgia.

Yesterday, we teed off for public education! ⛳️

GSBA’s Tee Off for Public Education brought together supporters from across Georgia to celebrate 75 years of impact while investing in the future of our public schools through the Excellence in Governance Foundation Fund.

A huge thank you to our golfers, sponsors, partners and everyone who helped make the day such a success. We’re grateful to have you on our team as we continue supporting strong governance and strong public schools across Georgia.

Today, GSBA’s 75th Anniversary Days of Giving brought us to Midway Hills Elementary in Baldwin County, where we began bringing a new Legacy Library to life.

This permanent literacy display will feature books selected by teachers, staff, administrators and student leaders, each paired with a story about why that book matters.

Our team had a great and rewarding time getting the project started alongside Baldwin County Schools, and we can’t wait to see this space continue to take shape and inspire students and promote literacy for years to come!
