🌿 PUBLIC NOTICE: Lawrence Township Environmental Resources & Green Advisory Committee Meeting

The Lawrence Township Environmental Resources & Green Advisory Committee (EGAC) will hold its meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Building, located at 2207 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648.

The EGAC, consisting of ten council-appointed members, works to enhance Lawrence Township's environmental stewardship through:
- Environmental needs assessment and recommendations
- Open space acquisition and conservation project guidance
- Natural feature preservation and township landscaping initiatives
- Environmental review of Planning and Zoning Board applications
The meeting is open to the public. Join us in supporting Lawrence Township's environmental conservation efforts and sustainable future

The Shade Tree Advisory Committee will meet Monday 6/22 at 7pm at the Municipal Building. Meetings are open to the public.

The Shade Tree Advisory Committee advises The Planning & Zoning Boards on applications for site plans and subdivisions regarding standards, types, and planting specifications for shade trees. We recommend to Township Council programs of shade tree improvement, planting, and replacement along public rights-of-way. The Shade Tree Advisory Committee has marked the Township's 19th year as a Tree City with a brochure highlighting the benefits derived from trees and the memorial tree program.

The Township of Lawrence is issuing a Request for Proposals to find a qualified nonprofit partner to lease, operate, and program the Lawrence Neighborhood Center at 295 Eggerts Crossing Road.
For decades this facility has been a valuable community resource, and the Township Council is committed to keeping it that way. We're looking for an organization ready to deliver educational, recreational, cultural, and social service programming that benefits Lawrence residents.
The RFP will be formally issued on June 23. Interested organizations can find the complete package at lawrencetwp.com or by contacting the Municipal Manager's Office.
