Bucky Connects-Five Forks MS Five Forks Middle School was named after its predecessor, the old Five Forks School, and the community of Five Forks in the 1800’s.

Gwinnett County had an abundance of small unincorporated communities. At the focal point of one such area, five roads met. One road went northeast past a school, one west to Gloster, anothe

r east to Snellville, another north to Lawrenceville, and yet another south to Mountain Park. Since the school and community were centered around the meeting of these five points, they gradually became known to the local population as Five Forks. The Five Forks intersection existed for 100 years. With the opening of Brookwood High School in 1981, the northeast branch was closed and rerouted. Facebook is owned and operated by Meta. The Five Forks Cross Country teams put on a great showing at the North Georgia Championships today.

Emma Behan, Miriam Holbrook, Emily Alfaro, Brianna Barnes, Cameron Crabbe, Ben Carter, Lucas Babcock, Charles Trumbull, Weston Maxwell all earned medals!!!

In the team standings, the boys finished fourth and the girls sixth out of 17 schools.

Crews had a great race as well, so the future of Cross Country is bright for the Brookwood cluster!

Hello to our 7th Grade Families!

The FFMS PTSA will hold our first social of the year for our 7th graders on Thursday, September 3rd! Students will remain after school for the social which will be held in the cafeteria. Student pick up will be at the back of the building in the car rider lane by the gym at 6:00 pm. The event will be advertised on the morning announcements, on ParentSquare, and on our Five Forks Middle School PTSA. Please carefully review the permission form for additional details. Hard copies of the permission form will be sent home with students today, Friday, August 29th.

To attend, students must return a completed Permission Form and bring in $5.00 cash on Tues, Aug 25th; Thurs, Aug 27th; Tues, Sept 1st & Thurs, Sept 3rd before 1st period. No tickets will be sold at the door.

We are also asking for Parent Volunteers/Chaperones to help make this event a success for our students! To volunteer, please check ParentSquare for the link.
