General Hospital Donation

Wabash General Hospital completed 75 acts of kindness, during Random Acts of Kindness Day to celebrate 75 years of care! Items were donated to local animal shelters, post offices, city workers, and more. LCAS was one of the lucky recipients. Thank you to WGH and Macee Hill for selecting us and for the supplies.

This guy was found at the Lawrenceville Casey’s. He’s now at the shelter. If you know he belongs to, let us know.

🐾 Rescue Transport Day! 🐾

Today, 4 puppies, 4 kitties, and Gracie the dane are officially headed to rescue!

Each of them is taking the next step toward a fresh start — with more space, continued care, and a path to forever homes.

We are so grateful to the rescue partners who make these transitions possible, and to our community for supporting the shelter work that gets animals to this point.

Safe travels, sweet pups. We can’t wait to see what comes next for you. 💚🐶

🖤 This Week at LCAS 🖤

This week included new introductions, rescue transfers, wishlist support, and a happy adoption.

None of it happens without teamwork — from rescue partners to donors to the community that continues to support the day-to-day work behind the scenes.

As we head into the weekend, we’re grateful for the progress made and focused on the animals still in our care.

Thank you for being part of it.

Still waiting. Still good 🤍

Still waiting. Still good 🤍

This is the face of a dog who has thought things through.

He’s calm, attentive, and very concerned that no one has adopted him yet.
We’re taking his concerns seriously—and you should too.

💚 Sweet boy

🎉 ADOPTED 🎉

Zoomie has been adopted and is officially on his way to life outside the shelter 🐾

We’re glad to see him move on to a home where he can settle in and keep doing what he does best. Adoptions like this are what make space for the next animals who need help.

Congratulations to Zoomie and his new family.
