We enjoyed having Jed Brian with Lawford County Productions visit the Lawrence County CEO class. Jed has a huge passion for producing horror films. He has produced several. Jed talked about the many aspects of his production company. We were so impressed with how from start to finish the films take shape and become what we see on the screen. We look forward to seeing many more Lawford County Productions on the big screen. Thank you Jed for sharing your business with the class.

Finding that rare gem is so exciting. During our last week of class, the Lawrence County CEO class toured Lathrop Boots in Robinson. The minute you met Steven you could feel the passion he had for the business. Steven and his family love the outdoors. They are avid hunters. When they saw the need for boots that were comfortable and friendly to your feet, they immediately jumped into action. Throughout our visit Steven showed his passion for the business through his smile and talk. Lathrop Boots did just what we talk about in CEO. Identify a need, develop a sound business plan, and put in the work. Thank you Steven and Lathrop Boots for a great visit.

During our last week, the Lawrence County CEO program visited many businesses. We enjoyed touring Sammy’s Smoothies in Robinson. Sammy was a student in the Effingham CEO program while her husband and was part of the Crawford County CEO program. We enjoyed hearing how they started their business and how they are constantly looking for opportunities to showcase their products. Owning your own business takes lots of hard work and many hours preparing products, marketing and sourcing supplies. The entire class was so impressed with how they worked together to grow their business. Thank you Sammy’s Smoothies for showing the class the impact their CEO experience had as they started their business.
