Did a Site Survey Yesterday on a Fire alarm system in two large buildings? Kiddie recommended them to me. The story is: They need surge suppression on the fire alarms, and also some on some of Kiddie modules for the dry contact on the hoods over the stoves. Turned out they have static voltage issues and those tiny SMT modules could not handle that static electricity induced by close Proxity strikes by lightning. I recommended the LS-E120HWCP20CB plus the spike block for the ground wire as a notch filter, and a FA 30VB low voltage surge suppressor on the SLC loop and one for every Kiddie device to deal with the static. My units are tight enough to catch the static.
