The Lawton Area Transit System (LATS) invites our community to learn more about the findings and recommendations from the recent Lawton Microtransit Study. This is an opportunity to see how future transit options could improve mobility across Lawton and better serve riders throughout our community.

The comment period for the Lawton Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (LMPO) FY26 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is now open. The UPWP outlines all work to be completed by the LMPO each year. Please send all comments to [email protected] or call (580) 581-3375.

Calling all Kindergarten to 3rd graders in the City of Lawton! 🌍 We want to see your creative ideas for a cleaner, greener tomorrow through our Kids First Coloring Contest! 🎉

🖍️ How to Participate:
• Submit your coloring page by April 18, 2025.
• Open to all Kindergarten to 3rd grade students in Lawton (including homeschool, public, and private schools).
• If you didn’t receive a information sheet from your school, don’t worry! Stop by the City of Lawton Planning Department to pick up the rules and information sheet. 🏢

🏆 Drawing Date: The drawing will be at the City of Lawton Council Meeting on April 22, 2025 at 6pm!

The public comment period for the draft 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) runs from September 23, 2024 to November 1, 2024. The MTP is updated every five years and will describe the plan for the future of transportation in Lawton for the next 25 years. This is the final opportunity to help shape this plan.
