The Prayer Closet The goal of our Prayer Ministry is to provide a place where God’s people can come together in prayer for one another.

We will accomplish this through leading believers into a greater biblical understanding of prayer and the power thereof; therefore, we are committed to equipping believers in the areas of intercession, spiritual warfare, fasting, and healing. These areas are crucial in developing and maintaining a powerful and effective prayer life, and are integral to the understanding and practice of prayer. Pra

yer, while it is a privilege that God gives to His people, is also a spiritual discipline which has to be developed and practiced. It is essential that the believer diligently seek to grow and mature in this area of their Christian experience. No matter how strong or weak you believe your prayer life is, there is always the possibility of growth and progress, and there is no better place to begin than in the “Prayer Closet”.

Almighty God, we know You to be a faithful, changeless God; the same yesterday, today, and forever. Your works of old are a testimony to Your majesty, power, and provision for our lives today. Your presence everyday, O God, steadies our walk as You lead us in the paths of righteousness. Thank You for working within us, and endowing us with obedient hearts, and the desire both to will and to do for Your good pleasure. In everything we do, dear God, we purpose to do so without complaining and murmuring. Our desire is to live a life that will reveal our relationship with You and be reflective of the life-shaping influence of Your word upon it. Now bless us Lord with the patience to wait on You; the peace to not be moved while we do so, and the hope that will never leave us ashamed as we yield to You our heart, our soul, and our minds, and trust You for all we require for life and godliness in this present age. Almighty God, thank You for keeping us and for waking us to see and be part of yet another day that YOU have made. Lord we are determined to be glad and rejoice in it. Therefore we pray this day for the health and strength of Your people. By Your word, dear Lord, You have declared that with Your stripes, we are healed. So today we pray, by the mercies of Christ, that You would look upon the infirmities of Your people, and heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among them. Heal us, O LORD, and we shall be healed; save us, and we shall be saved: for You are our praise. O God, grant those in need of a healing, the faith required to receive Your healing grace; grant them also, dear God, the power to be delivered from the denial of their eating habits so that they may eat to live; from their willingness to smoke, to drink and to expose themselves to disease as a reckless behavior. O God, we pray for not just any healing today, but God we petition Your Throne of Grace, and intercede also for those who have terminal illnesses. Lord GOD, perform a MIRACLE in their bodies today; that by Your healing power, lives would be forever changed, and You Lord, would be forever exalted and glorified! In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.

Almighty God, who has endowed us with the breath of life, and created all things with purpose; thank You for allowing us to awake once more in the land of the living. You, O God, know our weaknesses and our failings, and that without Your help we can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, neither our own nor others'. Grant us, therefore, the help of Your grace, according to our particular needs THIS DAY. Enable us to see the tasks You will set before us in the daily routine of our lives, and let us set our hands to these tasks with the vigor and joy of one with whom You abide. Help us, Lord GOD, in all things to rely on Your holy will, and reveal that will to us every hour, every minute, every second of the day. And if we should face trials, or suffering, or failure, we pray, O God, that Your hand would lift us up, and that we may be refreshed. In JESUS name!

Almighty God, Your ways are higher than our ways, Your thoughts higher than our thoughts; and yet You invite us to call You "Father", and have called us Your children. O God, we petition Your throne of grace this morning for the help we require to be holy as You are holy, to be channels of Your Holy Spirit, to have our lives shaped by a deep love for You. Free us, dear God, from the idolatries that promise satisfaction but that quietly suppress our freedom. We pray for all those caught up in worshipping that which is not God. For those who assume that material wealth is necessary for their happiness. For those ensnared by sexual addiction and po*******hy. Lord God, we know that You are not distant from the suffering of this world, so bring freedom and justice and peace. Fill Your people with Your Holy Spirit that we might have the discernment to recognize our idols; the strength to resist them; and the courage to proclaim a better way to live. Fill us with compassion for all the victims of idolatry, that we might speak and act on their behalf. Make Your church a HOLY place that offers to the world life in all its fullness For the sake of Your Holy name. O God of heaven and earth, who was creating and is creating, make our lives to be the signs of hope that point to You! In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.

Almighty God, we enter into Your presence today with thanksgiving in our hearts and a praise upon our lips. We Praise You, O God, for You are good and Your mercy endures forever! We Praise You for Your lovingkindness towards us; and for Your compassions, which are new every morning! Remember us this day, O God, with the favor You have toward Your people; and visit us with Your salvation, that we may see the benefit of Your CHOSEN ONES; that we may rejoice in the gladness of our relationship with You and glory in Your presence. It is the JOY of You Lord, that is a strength each day. Therefore, even as we receive Your gifts, we are ever mindful of the peace and joy which is given with them. Lord God, may we come to realize, even more in this season, our dependence on You for the joys of life. Keep us in remembrance, this day, of the bright hope and the JOY that is the richness of our fellowship with You. Lord this is the day that You have made, and our prayer is that all who would seek You this day would rejoice in the HOPE and the GLORY of Your salvation; that the Beloved of the LORD would shout with a loud voice, "REJOICE in the Lord, always, and again we say, REJOICE!" In JESUS name!

Almighty God, who opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. Lord, we come near to Your throne of grace this day and we bless You for our lives, and praise You for Your abundant mercy and grace towards us. Lord we know that when we pray, You hear and are able to grant us our petitions. So we pray with assurance, first for our world, and for all those in need of Your grace, but reluctant to receive it. We pray for those who have failed; as people, as professionals, in relationships and at work; and for all who carry the wounds of failure and humiliation. Then Lord, we pray for ourselves, wanting to be humble, but closing our ears to those who bring us discomfort. Refusing to hear those who bring Your challenge for us to change our minds, to change our habits, to change our lives. O God, teach us to listen, and encourage us to be transformed by Your living presence. Lord, oppose us when we are proud, and grant us Your grace when we are humbled. May the glorious light of Your Gospel reach into the darkest corners of our world and our lives, and open the eyes of Your people’s hearts, that we, might embody Your compassion, Your healing power, and Your self-giving LOVE! In JESUS name!

Almighty, faithful God, ever-living and ever-loving. Lord we bring before You the needs of the world, trusting in Your faithfulness to us. Lord we pray for those who will have no food today, who cannot feed their families or even themselves, and we long for You to act. For those without hope, whose daily grind leaves them without happiness or any thought beyond survival, O God, we long for You to act. For those torn apart by broken relationships or grief, who have lost people they had once treasured; for Your church, dear God, in all its mix of hope and frustration, faith and faithfulness, sacrifice and apathy, fill us again with hope, and keep us faithful to You! Act NOW, Lord GOD, and bless by Your spirit! Visit us and perform Your good word towards us. Though we be troubled on every side, suffer us not to be distressed; and though we be perplexed, O God, save us from despair. We ask it all, O God, in the name of Him, who for our sakes endured poverty and blameless suffering, Your Son, our Saviour, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Almighty God, we bless You this day for our lives, and we give You praise for Your abundant mercy and grace towards us. Our prayer is that You would fill our minds, this morning, with loving thoughts; and grant us that we may spend every hour of the day gladly working with You according to Your will. O God, be our Present Help today and show Yourself strong in our behalf. Be with us, dear Lord, in the day's worries and disappointments, that we may be patient with ourselves and with those around us; in our moments of fatigue and illness, that we may be mindful of others rather than we ourselves; in our temptations; that we may be generous and loyal, so that when the day is over we may lay it at Your feet, with its successes which are all Yours, and its failures, which are all our own, and feel that life is real and peaceful and blessed, when it is spent with You Lord, our Strength and our Redeemer. By the might of Your Spirit, keep us, we pray, in Your presence, where we may be still and know that You are God. In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all to be.
