CNYS would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Comanche National Museum for providing this wonderful opportunity for our youth to showcase their talent, creativity, and cultural expression.

We would also like to thank our judges, and most importantly, all of the Comanche youth who submitted artwork for us to enjoy. We received a total of 33 submissions, and the artwork will be featured as the museum’s main exhibit through August 29, 2026.

Be sure to stop by and check out the incredible work of these young artists at the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center at 701 NW Ferris Ave Lawton, OK 73507.

A big URA to the CN Police Department and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge for inviting the CN Boys & Girls Club to spend the morning fishing, learning, and making memories together!

Our youth had such a great time getting outdoors, learning about fishing, nature, and wildlife while enjoying the beautiful morning at the refuge.

We are so thankful for community partnerships that continue to pour into our youth and provide positive experiences.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make today special for our kids! 🎣☀️🌎

📚✨ CNYS Girls Trip ✨📚

Yesterday, our older students attended the Book Fest Kickoff in Oklahoma City for an afternoon full of books, culture, learning, and fun! 💕🌟

Students had the opportunity to explore free books by Native authors, enjoy cultural showcases, support vendors, and build friendships while making memories together. We’re excited to provide experiences that encourage reading, confidence, creativity, and a stronger connection to culture. 🌸

A special thank you to everyone who continues to support opportunities like this for our youth! 💖

And that’s a wrap on the 2025–2026 school year for the CNYS Afterschool Program! 🎉

The doors to the afterschool program closed in March 2020 due to COVID, and we proudly reopened in January 2026.

This semester marked another beautiful beginning of the work that started over 20 years ago when the youth program was first established.

It was a semester full of learning, love, and dedication to our youth. Thank you to everyone who supported our students and staff along the way. Stay tuned for future events and activities!

As always…

“Taa Numu Turu?etuu Numi Tuetutuanu Sika Tabeni Sukuhu Tsaatu Puetsuku”

(“Serving our youth today for a better tomorrow.”)

✨ Word of the Week: Tatsinuupi (Star) ⭐️ ✨

Last week, our students explored the wonders of space while learning the Comanche word Tatsinuupi, meaning “star.”

Throughout the week, they used their creativity and imagination to create their very own galaxies, rockets, and space-themed projects while learning fun facts about outer space! 🚀🌌

The CN B&G Club had a special visit from our Comanche Nation leadership, where students had the opportunity to learn about their roles and responsibilities, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations.

It was a great connection between our current leaders and future leaders!

URA Chairman Tahdooahnippah, Tribal Administrator Mrs. Dawsey, and Secretary/Treasurer Mr. Tahmahkera for taking the time to speak with and inspire our youth!

❤️💛💙
