Mission Village Neighborhood Watch We are here to take back and run crime out of our neighborhood and keep it safe . Mission Village Neighborhood Watch meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Meetings are held at the Church of abundant life Christian church 509 NW Woodridge Dr here in Mission Village and meetings start at 7:00Pm. Meetings are open to the public and we especially encourage everyone in Mission Village, Sneed Acres and Runyon Hillside to attend. Remember our program is only as sucessful as we want it to be!!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is mourning federal wildlife officer David Taylor, 38 of Scio, Oregon, who is believed to have died while helping evacuate residents threatened by the Railroad South Fire.

Officer Taylor was going door to door alongside local emergency crews helping families get to safety. His last contact with dispatch came while he was helping a family evacuate their home. Evidence recovered from a structure where he was working to help a resident escape indicates that he died during the evacuation effort. Formal identification remains pending with the medical examiner.

Everything we know about David's actions reflects extraordinary courage, selflessness and devotion to duty.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, fellow officers and all who served alongside him. We will never forget his service.

Michael Grant Miller – Drug Enforcement Agent
U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs August 28, 1995

On Monday August 28, 1995, BIA Drug Enforcement Agent Michael Miller, 34, was a member of a multi-agency drug task force targeting ma*****na growers and traffickers in the Tulsa / Bixby area of the state. Agent Michael Miller was an observer in an Oklahoma National Guard helicopter flown by Chief Warrant Officer Dennis Laffick, 49. The helicopter was one of two being used that day to conduct airborne searches for ma*****na fields and suspects.

About 2:30 p.m. that Monday afternoon their helicopter struck some power lines and crashed instantly killing both Agent Michael Miller and pilot Dennis Laffick.

Agent Michael Miller was survived by his wife, Gerri, and their five children and is buried in Mount Scott Cemetery, Meers, Comanche County, Oklahoma.
