🚁✨ TWO DAYS. COUNTLESS TAKEOFFS. FUTURE CAREERS IN THE MAKING. ✨🚁

Earlier this month, high school students from across the region took to the skies at FISTA's Drone Camp, spending two action-packed days diving into the world of unmanned aerial systems.

From coding flight commands and learning the technology behind drones to mastering precision flight and navigating hands-on challenges, campers got a firsthand look at one of today's fastest-growing industries. 💻🚁

The camp wrapped up with a friendly competition where students put their new skills to the test, showcasing teamwork, problem-solving, and a little healthy competitive spirit along the way. 🏆

What made this camp special wasn't just the drones. It was watching students gain confidence, tackle new challenges, and discover possibilities they may not have considered before.

The future of aerospace, defense, and emerging technology is being built by the next generation, and we were proud to watch these students take their first steps toward it.

A huge thank you to our amazing parents for supporting their students throughout this experience. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Epirus and Leidos for sharing their expertise and providing students with valuable hands-on experiences and real-world insight into drone technology and career opportunities in the field. Their partnership helped make this camp an unforgettable experience. 🙌

"Eyes of the world are upon you."
Those words were delivered to Allied troops before they embarked on the largest amphibious invasion in history.
On June 6, 1944, thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and support personnel crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy. Their courage under fire helped liberate Europe and changed the course of history.
Today, we honor the service members who answered that call, the sacrifices they made, and the legacy they left behind.
As an organization dedicated to supporting the defense community and those who serve our nation, FISTA Innovation Park proudly joins in remembering the heroes of D-Day and the generations of warfighters who followed.
We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

Congratulations to our very own Raegan Martin-Tekeall on being named the recipient of the Siegfried Excellence in STEM Informal Educator Award, presented by the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance! 🏆✨

This prestigious award recognizes outstanding educators who inspire curiosity, innovation, and a passion for STEM beyond the traditional classroom. Through her dedication to hands-on learning and student engagement, Raegan has helped ignite a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in countless young learners.

As an added honor, Raegan is also a finalist for the Overall STEM Educator of the Year Award, which will be announced at the Flight Night Gala this September! ✈️🌟

We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved recognition and grateful for the leadership, creativity, and passion she brings to FISTA every day.

Turns out two days of animals, art projects, exploration, and STEM can generate an impressive amount of excitement.
Week 1 of Littles Camp took our campers from safari habitats to coral reefs as they discovered amazing animals, built creative projects, explored ecosystems, and learned about the world around them through hands-on activities and play. 🦁🐦🐠🦋
The questions were endless, the creativity was unmatched, and the smiles made it clear we had a lot of future scientists and explorers in the room.

🚀 Littles Camp Week 2 is coming June 29–30, and we'll be exploring the world of engineering! Campers will build, create, design, and discover how engineers turn big ideas into reality.

🐦🛠️ Creativity was in full flight during our Birds and Builders class! From hands-on building to problem solving and teamwork, this class was packed with innovation, imagination, and STEM fun from start to finish.
A huge thank you to the Lawton Public Library for partnering with us to make this experience possible. We love seeing our community come together to inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators, and builders — this is exactly what makes Lawton a STEM City! 💡✨
If this class was any indication, our summer programs are going to be incredible. We can’t wait to see everyone back for a summer full of discovery, creativity, and hands-on STEM adventures! ☀️🚀
