Officer Taylor was doing what law enforcement officers do every day — putting the safety and lives of others before his own. His courage and dedication to protecting others will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Taylor’s family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge family. We are honored to stand beside you during this difficult time.

Security camera footage shows what appears to be one individual arrive at a residence and proceed to remove multiple items; including a 36" Blackstone grill with Propane tank and accessories. We sincerely thank everyone involved for their dedication and collaboration. This successful apprehension is the result of close coordination between the Comanche County Sheriff's Office, Comanche County District Attorney’s Office, and our federal law enforcement partners Department of Justice Office of International Affairs. We remain committed to working with our state, and federal partners to ensure individuals who commit crimes in Comanche County are held accountable and face justice, regardless of where they may attempt to flee.
