Today we a have very special and really FUN gala thank you!

On gala night, Rjay and Tammy Brunkow were doing a fantastic job of raising the bid on the fabulous Apache Casino Stay and Play Package. Such a fantastic job that they ended up winning it! After the gala, they very generously donated the basket back to us. As the CEO of the Fort Sill Chiricahua Warm Springs Apache EDA, Rjay had originally contributed the basket and he and Tammy wanted to be sure another gala guest had the opportunity to enjoy it. We think that was pretty great of them.

So, what to do?! It wasn’t too hard to decide that the only thing to be done was to draw a winner out of the pile of gala pledge cards submitted. At last week’s board meeting, we did just that.

And the winner is …

🧪💡 MORE MOMENTS FROM THE I AM STEM SCIENCE FAIR! 🔬⚙️

The experiments may be over, but the curiosity, creativity, and confidence were too good for just one video! 🎥✨

Students gathered at Cameron University to put their ideas to the test during the I AM STEM Science Fair. They didn’t just display projects, they explained their thinking, demonstrated what they learned, answered questions, and showed us what young minds can accomplish when given the opportunity to explore.

And THAT is the real experiment: Give a child knowledge, encouragement, and room to create... and watch what happens. 🧠🚀

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome Dr. Shane Hunt and his wife Jenifer to A Summer Night with MIGHT. Dr. Hunt served as our Keynote Speaker and really brought home the importance of education as the key to changing trajectories.

We appreciate Dr. Hunt's genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for the people and programs of MIGHT. Our partnership with Cameron is a big part of the overall collaborative effort to serve the vulnerable citizens of Lawton and meet them where they are.

Truly, TOGETHER, we are the answer!

🔬🧪 SCIENCE CAME TO LIFE! ⚙️💡

On Friday, July 24, 2026, young scientists, creators, and problem-solvers gathered at Cameron University for the I AM STEM Science Fair—and they came ready to show what happens when curiosity meets creativity! 🚀

Students took their ideas from “What if?” to “Look what I did!” as they presented projects, explained their discoveries, and put their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics on full display.

We’re proud of every student who had the courage to ask questions, experiment, create, present, and learn. That’s what STEM is all about—not simply knowing the answers, but being brave enough to explore the questions. 🧠✨

A special thank you to Cameron University and all of the churches, organizations, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make the I AM STEM Science Fair possible.

📚💛 Storytime is a part of growing at MIGHT!

Our MIGHT Infants are pictured enjoying a story read by Ms. Gail during our daily Circle Time. We incorporate storytime every day because reading to infants is one of the simplest, and most powerful, ways to support healthy development.

Even before babies understand the words, listening to stories helps:

📖 Build early language and communication skills
🧠 Strengthen brain development
👂 Encourage listening and attention
🌱 Lay the foundation for future reading success
💛 Create meaningful bonds between caregivers and babies

They may be tiny, but those little minds are already busy learning! Every page turned, every word spoken, and every story shared helps plant seeds that will grow for years to come.

Sometimes getting ahead means understanding the difference between changing who you are and adjusting what you do. 💯

When Devion learned that his employer's grooming standards required him to be clean-shaven, the lesson became bigger than a beard. Part of becoming successful in the workplace is learning acceptance, adaptability, and compliance with reasonable expectation, even when those expectations aren't necessarily our personal preference.

And that's where life skills entered the chat. 👏🏾
Mr. Bryant took the time to work with Devion one-on-one and teach him how to properly shave, turning a workplace requirement into another opportunity for growth and independence.

That's what the McMahon S212 Guest House is about. Sometimes the lesson is budgeting. Sometimes it's cooking. Sometimes it's conflict resolution. And sometimes…it's standing in front of a mirror with shaving cream and somebody willing to teach you something you never needed to learn before.

Accept the requirement. Learn the skill. Make the adjustment. Keep moving forward. 🪒💪🏾
