In observance of Memorial Day, Community Action Development Corporation (CADC) offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

🚨 DAY ONE WAS A SUCCESS NOW WE’RE READY FOR DAY TWO! 🚨

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Lawton Area Transit System Hiring Event today! We had a great first day meeting motivated applicants, answering questions, and connecting with people ready to start a career with LATS.

Now we’re gearing up for Day Two tomorrow, and we are especially looking for:

🔧 Diesel Mechanics
🚌 CDL Drivers with Passenger Endorsement
🚌 Para Drivers

If you’re a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, bus mechanic, CDL driver, Class B CDL holder, transit driver, shuttle driver, school bus driver, or commercial driver with a Passenger Endorsement, we want to meet you!

🗓️ Day Two: May 21st
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Please make sure to bring:

✅ Valid photo ID
✅ Physical Social Security card
✅ CDL with Passenger Endorsement, if applying for CDL driver position or Supervisor Position.

⚠️ AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY ⚠️

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) has issued an Air Quality Action Day for TODAY due to potentially elevated ozone levels in our area.

Sensitive groups, including children, older adults, and those with asthma or other respiratory conditions, should consider limiting prolonged outdoor activity!

You can help improve air quality by:

🚍 Riding LATS, carpooling, walking, or biking
⛽ Filling up gas tanks early in the morning
🚗 Combining errands into one trip
🌱 Delaying mowing or use of gas-powered lawn equipment
🏠 Conserving energy at home
🖌️ Avoiding oil-based paints, solvents, and varnishes when possible
