🐾 NEW FEATURES NOW AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE! 🐾

We’re excited to introduce two new features at LawtonAnimalWelfare.com designed to make it easier to view animals in our care—and hopefully help more lost pets make their way back home. ❤️

🐶🐱 Our Adoptable Pets
Animals available for adoption will now be automatically added to our website, complete with available information and photos. You can click on each animal to learn more about them before coming to the shelter to meet them!

🏠 Found Stray Animals
We’re especially proud to introduce a new way to search for your lost pet online. Animals picked up by our Animal Welfare Officers or brought to the shelter by citizens as strays may now appear on our website with identifying information and photos when available.

Our goal is simple: help reunite as many lost pets with their families as possible.

⚠️ Please remember: While this new feature is a helpful tool, we still strongly recommend coming to the shelter and walking through our kennels in person if you are missing a pet. Photos and descriptions may not always be available right away, and an animal’s appearance can look different in a picture.

🐾 Celebrate National Dog Day with a new best friend!

Lawton Animal Welfare is offering FREE dog adoptions tomorrow, August 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter will be closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m.

Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated against rabies when age appropriate. Adopters must be at least 18 and present a valid photo ID.

Dogs under 16 weeks require a refundable $19.85 rabies vaccination deposit.

🐰 HOP ON OVER — WE HAVE RABBITS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 🐰

Looking for a new little friend with big personality and even bigger ears? We currently have four handsome boys waiting to find their forever homes!

Adoption prices for each: $39.65 which includes the adoption fee, microchip, and the small animal permit required within city limits. If you live outside of Lawton city limits, the adoption price is: $13.20 which includes the microchip and adoption fee only.

🖤 Void — Black & white male, approximately 5 months old
🤎 Angel — Brown & white male, approximately 3 months old
🧡 Notch — Orange, black & gray male, approximately 1 year old
💛 Jeb — White & brown male, approximately 1 year old

Each of these adorable guys is ready to hop into a loving home of his own. Rabbits can make wonderful companions, but they also need plenty of space, proper nutrition, enrichment, and daily care.

Come by Lawton Animal Welfare and meet Void, Angel, Notch, and Jeb! You just might find the perfect new addition to your family. 🐇💕
