Charlotte Gagliardi Oates graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1976 with a
BME, majoring in choral music with a minor in piano performance and theory. She
taught choral music for 30 years in Oklahoma, retiring from the classroom in 2006. She obtained a Master of Science in Educational Leadership degree in 2008 from Cameron University and is now the Head Principal at Life Ready Center in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Ms. Oates worked at Cameron University as an Adjunct private voice instructor. She is also a board member of Laura Fields Trust and Lawton Community Theater. High School Administration keeps her busy, but community and music-filled events are an integral part of her life. She has two children who teach school and five grandchildren who call her Nana.
Chance Harmon is the Executive Director of Lawton Community Theatre in Lawton, Oklahoma, and has over 35 years experience in the creative arts. Chance, an established and award-winning producer, director, actor, teaching artist, and administrator, has directed over 100 theatrical productions. Memorable performances include “Sister Act the Musical” at the award-winning WaterTower Theatre and the world premiere of “Sleeping Beauty” at The MUNY theatre in St. Louis, where VARIETY called him “A bright spot on the stage. Early in his career, Chance was a casting director and vocal coach for the MTV/ Viacom networks and has worked on many distinguished broadcasts for ABC, NBC, and Food Network,to name a few.
Mr. Harmon served as the Producing Artistic Director of The Wichita Theatre for 10 years, and the Executive Director of the Acting Out in Class program, administered in area North Texas schools. Mr. Harmon consulted and participated in the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture's inaugural TALL program, and 2018, he lent his expertise to Lincoln Center Education's Teaching Artist Development Labs. Chance is an active member in the Lawton/ Ft. Sill and Wichita Falls area and is a prominent advocate for arts in communities.
