⚠️ ONE SPARK CAN START A WILDFIRE TODAY ⚠️

Conditions across Comanche County are creating dangerous fire weather. Strong winds, low humidity, and dry fuels mean even the smallest spark can quickly turn into a fast-moving wildfire.

🔥 Please help prevent fires today:

• Avoid outdoor burning
• Properly dispose of ci******es
• Be cautious with equipment and anything that may create sparks

A wildfire can start from something as simple as a dragging chain, cigarette, welding, or equipment spark.

🚨 If you see smoke or fire, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY.

Your quick call can help firefighters respond before a small fire becomes a large wildfire.

Stay safe and help protect our community.

🚨 BURN BAN IN EFFECT – COMANCHE COUNTY 🚨
Effective February 23, 2026

Due to extreme fire danger conditions, a county-wide burn ban has been issued.

❌ No campfires
❌ No outdoor burning
❌ No fireworks
⚠️ Report smoke immediately

Dry conditions and wind can turn even a small spark into a fast-moving wildfire. We are asking everyone to do their part to protect our homes, property, and community.

If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately. Early reporting helps us respond quickly and prevent large-scale wildfires.

Violations of the burn ban can result in fines and possible jail time.

Let’s work together to keep Wichita Mountain Estates and Comanche County safe. 🔥🚒

• Has a safe meeting place outside
• Practices the plan regularly (especially with kids)

If the alarm sounds: Get out. Stay out. Call 911.
