The League of Women Voters is hosting a non-partisan candidate forum for Davis County on June 1st. Since there are no opposing party candidates on the ballot for these county seats, these primary races will effectively decide our next local officials. Check out the details below to stay informed!

We're hosting a forum on June 1 for the candidates seeking countywide offices who will be on the primary election ballot. This includes the two commission seats, sheriff and clerk. We invite all Davis County residents to attend and find out how the candidates would handle their duties if elected. Please join us!

🤔 Ever wonder why we talk about campaign fundraising so early in the election cycle? It’s not just about filling a bank account, it’s about securing the literal tools our candidates need to win.

When you donate to local candidates early, you aren't just giving them a dollar, you’re giving them time and strategy. Early funding allows them to budget, plan, and purchase essential outreach materials before prices spike and printers get backed up closer to November.

Here is a look at what it actually takes to power a grassroots campaign in our county:
• $25 buys roughly 50 door hangers.
• $50 funds about 5-10 sturdy yard signs to build name recognition on busy roads.
• $100 is typical for a targeted digital ad campaign to reach thousands of local voters online.

Not to mention the fee they had to pay when filing to run, which is often 💯s of dollars!

Every yard sign planted starts with a choice made today. When our candidates can budget with confidence, they can campaign with confidence, and WIN.

State Convention last Saturday, Davis Pride today, and Davis Dems breakfast next Saturday… it’s a busy spring for Democrats in Davis County! And not to mention County Convention and Caucus before that!
