High-quality compost and wood chip sales made easy. 🌱🪵

At Wasatch Integrated’s Green Waste Facility, we turn yard waste and organic material into premium compost, mulch, and wood chip products available to the public year-round. Simply grab a ticket, bring a tarp to cover your load, and our attendants will help get you the product you need—no need to get your hands dirty.

Available products include:
🌿 Compost — $3/bag or $25/scoop
🪵 Wood Chips (Fine, Medium, Coarse) — $10/scoop
🖤 Dark Wood Chips — $15/scoop

One scoop equals approximately 1.5 yards. Don’t forget: Utah law requires all loads to be covered and secured before leaving the landfill.

Meet Jaydn, one of the Equipment Operators at the Wasatch Integrated Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). ♻️🚜

From feeding recyclables into the plant to handling curbside waste and loading transfer trailers, Jaydn helps keep the entire operation moving safely and efficiently every day. Working in tight spaces around other operators takes focus and precision—but for Jaydn, that’s part of what makes the job so rewarding.

Ever wonder what happens to your plastic recycling after it leaves Utah? ♻️👀

We followed plastics from our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) all the way to Las Vegas to see the next stage of the recycling process. There, the materials are sorted even further by plastic type and color, ground into flakes, washed to food-grade standards, screened again, and packed into massive sacks ready to become new bottles and containers.

This is what recycling looks like beyond the curbside cart—and proof that your recyclables really can get a second life when recycled correctly.
