Friends of the LeClaire Community Library The mission of the Friends of the Library is to support and be an advocate for the Le Claire Community Library.

We meet the 4th Thursday of most months (not in August or December). Meetings are at 4:30PM at the Le Claire Community Library, located at 3rd Street and Wisconsin Street in Le Claire.

Spring is a great time to come to the LeClaire Library - to enjoy the lilacs blooming and . . . Browse the silent auction items.

Auction runs from April 30 until May 9th at 10:15 when we will be calling the winning bidders.

This will give you time to pick up your items in during Saturday closing time of 2:00 pm - just in time for Mother's Day giving!

Recently, I had someone ask, “What is Birdies for Charity?” Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program associated with PGA Tour events. Here in the Quad Cities that would be the John Deere Classic held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis during tournament week (June 29-July 5). The Classic started in 1971 with the name The Quad Cities Open, held at Crow Valley Country Club. It was then held at Oakwood Country Club from 1975-1999. In 1999, John Deere began sponsoring the tournament and in 2000 it was moved to TPC Deere Run.
